Grocery list for week of 7/3

Here is the grocery list for the week (excluding the 4th of July picnic ideas):


  • garlic
  • 6 lemons
  • shallots
  • zucchini
  • potatoes
  • green beans
  • 5 – 6 TB fresh herbs – your choice (I used a mixture of thyme, rosemary, parsley, basil and oregano from my garden – if you have an herb garden, use what you have)
  • zucchini – 1 small per person
  • celery
  • greens of your choice
  • tomato
  • avocado
  • other salad veggies of your choice


  • Parmesan cheese
  • egg

Meat and Seafood

  • flank steak
  • bone in chicken breasts – 2 per person (so you have leftovers for delicious chicken salad)


Check your pantry and buy if you don’t have:

  • olive oil
  • dried oregano
  • flour
  • cornstarch
  • baking powder
  • Old Bay
  • club soda
  • vegetable oil
  • Dijon mustard
  • crushed red pepper flakes
  • garlic powder
  • mayonnaise
  • balsamic vinegar
  • canola oil
