Family favorite

My mom has been making this chicken for years.  It is easy to fix and many children love it (my nieces do but my persnickety child does not.)  I love things during the week that marinate overnight.  Walk in the door from work, stick it in the oven and steam some broccoli.  You can enjoy a glass of wine while dinner cooks itself!

Chicken in sour cream

  • 1 boneless, skinless chicken breast per person (or more if you want leftovers)
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 3 tsp celery salt
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 2 tsp butter
Combine sour cream, lemon juice, Worcestershire and seasonings.  Roll chicken in mixture and marinate overnight.  When ready to cook, roll chicken in Italian bread crumbs and dot with 1/2 tsp butter per breast.  Bake at 350 for 1 hour.  Serve with steamed broccoli.

About emenuplan
I love to cook and love to eat. I work full time and have a family so managing good meals during the week requires organization. I'm hoping to share my weekly menu plans and recipes to make things a little easier for those who want to follow along.
