Grocery list week of 6/16

Here is the grocery list for the week:


  • asparagus
  • lettuce
  • shallots
  • avocados
  • limes
  • 2 onions
  • 6 tomatoes
  • garlic
  • Napa cabbage
  • Thai chilis
  • mint
  • basil
  • lemons
  • bean sprouts (these are for the salad later in the week – I find that these often go bad quickly so I’m going to wait and buy them when I buy the shrimp)


  • goat cheese
  • sour cream

Meat and seafood

  • steaks of your choice
  • tilapia (1 per person)
  • chicken breasts, boneless, skinless (1 per person)


  • black beans
  • soft taco shells
  • salsa
  • peanuts
  • pizza shell
  • marinade for chicken (I have leftover Thai marinade in the fridge – the ingredients for that are below or buy a marinade  you like)
    • 4 – 6 garlic cloves, sliced
    • 1 TB cumin seed
    • 2 TB coriander seed
    • 1 TB peppercorns
    • 2/3 cup soy sauce
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar and/or honey
    • 1 TB turmeric powder
    • 1 lime
    • 1 tsp ground Thai chili peppers
    • 1 cup coconut cream

Check your pantry and buy if you don’t have:

  • olive oil
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Pam cooking spray
  • brown sugar
  • fish sauce
  • butter
  • balsamic vinegar
  • thyme
