Grocery list week of 3/17

Here is the grocery list for the week:


  • salad greens
  • shallots
  • broccoli
  • celery, carrots, onions, parsley if making chicken stock (which for me is the reason we are having roasted chicken tonight)

NOTE: Graul’s has such wonderful creamed spinach and they had it in prepared foods so I decided to cheat and make that my side dish tonight)


  • milk
  • Parmesan cheese
  • sour cream

Meat and Seafood

  • 1 roasting chicken
  • pork tenderloin

NOTE: We’ll get the tilapia on Wednesday


  • apricot jam (I’m actually substituting my homemade lemon chutney – more on this tomorrow)
  • cous cous

Check your pantry and buy if you don’t have:

  • butter
  • flour
  • olive oil
  • sherry vinegar
  • Dijon mustard
  • garlic
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • soy sauce
  • capers
  • poultry seasoning
