Grocery list


  • Zucchini (3 -4)
  • Asparagus (1 lb)
  • Salad greens (1 bag)
  • Yellow onion
  • Red or Yellow Peppers (2)
  • Eggplant (1 large or 2 small)
  • Tomatoes (6 fresh or 2 cans)
  • Avocado (2)
  • Ginger root


  • Sour Cream (I use reduced fat)

Meat and Seafood

  • Lamb Chops (I usually do one rib chop and 1 loin per person)
  • Pork Tenderloin (I like Smithfield Lean Generation)


  • Black Beans (1 can)
  • Soft Taco Shells
  • Lime juice
  • Frozen ravioli – your choice of flavors
  • Hoisin Sauce (find with Asian foods)
  • Water chestnuts
  • Chow mein noodles

Optional (If you want to simplify)

  • If you don’t want to make fresh tomato sauce for ravioli, buy your favorite jar of sauce
  • If you don’t want to make ginger dressing for the Asian salad, buy a ginger or sesame salad dressing

Check your pantry and buy if you don’t have

  • Olive oil
  • Garlic (2 cloves)
  • Thyme
  • Rosemary
  • Basil
  • Honey
  • Cooking sherry
  • Sesame oil
  • Rice vinegar
  • Soy sauce
  • Worcestershire Sauce

Plan to buy later in the week

  • Tilapia for the fish tacos
